~ AMBERLEA NEWS ~

  • C.O.V.E. SUPPORT GROUP

    C- Caring O-Optimism V-Victory E-Encouragement

C.O.V.E. is a support group for family who have a loved one living with mental health issues.

  • Through the summer we will meet June 17, July15, August 19, and September 16.

Upcoming meeting will take place from 7 to 9 pm in the Boardroom on the main level (please use the basement doors and go up the stairs).  Laurie Laframboise, a mental health case manager in Toronto, will facilitate the meetings.  For more information, feel free to speak to Laurie, or Kathy White or contact Laurie at 416-286-7869 or berryhom@icloud.com

  • THANK YOU ! ️THANK YOU! ️
Thanks for the overwhelming response for donation items, for the refugee family of 7, that my sister will be taking in. I belong to a small church with a big heart and therefore the long list of things that were needed, is now down to this very short list.:

  • 3 car seats (please check expiry dates)
Winter jackets and snow pants(boys age 3,5,7,9,13, girl 11)
    Mittens, hats and scarves
    School backpacks
Because this is a single mother with an 11 year old daughter among her children, the UN camp considers them vulnerable and therefore a priority for placement.  The process for placement involves security clearances, passports, medical shots, medical quarantine, and for all the family to be in good health for the flight. This can be a very lengthy process and there is no current time of arrival. Please pray for a speedy and safe arrival for this family.
    Sandra Percy 905-420-3378
